Colosseum
Erected
between the Colosseum and the Palatine Hill in 315 A.D. to celebrate
the victory of Constantine I over Maxentius in the socalled "Battle of
the Milvian bridge" on October 28, 312 A.D, this triumphal arch is one
of three still standing in Rome today.
These pictures were taken during a two day visit to Rome in March, 2004.
