Arch of Titus

Located just to the south-east of the Forum in Rome, and erected by the Emperor Domitian around 81 A.D. to commemorate the capture and sack of Jerusalem by his brother Titus in 70 A.D., this triumphal arch is one of three still standing in Rome today.

Due to a technical problem with my camera (read: I goofed) I have no picture with a clear view of the inscription on the front side of the arch, and only one
(arcustiti01) with an angular side view of that front inscription. I have added a picture from Wikipedia below my own, wich illustrates that (missing) front view.

These pictures were taken during a two day visit to Rome in March, 2004.
